How I make 3D prints

One thing I’m proud of that I have created are my 3D paintings. They’re unique and they always catch people’s eyes at shows. My newest innovation—3D prints! I’ve taken my most-loved prints and made them 3D.

How does this happen? I take two prints and cut out focal elements. I use artist’s tape to attach them to either the print itself or a first mat. Then, I put a mat on top!

This process allows you to own a hand-cut 3D print without the higher price point of an original painting—a matted 5x7 print (8x10 total) is $50. While I love my regular prints, I think these 3D ones are so much more distinctive and will definitely be conversation starters in your home or office!

Here’s a photo of me hand-cutting an original—it’s the same manual process for the prints! Each one is lovingly hand-cut.
